Binance App Not Working? Common Issues and Fixes
The Binance app generally works smoothly, but occasional technical issues affect all mobile applications. Whether you are facing a login error, blank screen, slow loading, or a feature that is simply not responding, this guide covers the most common problems and their proven solutions.
Before Troubleshooting: Check Binance System Status
Before spending time diagnosing your own device, check whether the problem is on Binance's side:
- Visit the Binance official website on a browser (separate from the app)
- Check the Binance official Twitter account for any outage announcements
- Search "Binance down" on a search engine — outage tracking sites like Downdetector aggregate user reports in real time
If Binance is experiencing a platform-wide outage or scheduled maintenance, there is nothing to fix on your end. Wait for Binance to restore service.
Problem 1: Binance App Stuck on Loading Screen
The app opens but never gets past the splash screen or loads indefinitely.
Solutions
Step 1: Check your internet connection
- Try loading a website in your browser to confirm internet is working
- Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to see if one connection works better
- Toggle airplane mode on and off to reset network connections
Step 2: Clear the app cache (Android)
- Go to Settings > Apps > Binance
- Tap Storage > Clear Cache
- Reopen the Binance app
On iOS, you cannot clear the cache directly. Instead, offload the app (Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Binance > Offload App) and then reinstall.
Step 3: Force close and restart the app
- On Android: swipe up from the bottom (or use the app switcher button) and swipe away the Binance app
- On iOS: swipe up from the bottom, hold, and swipe away the Binance card
- Reopen the app
Step 4: Restart your phone A full device restart clears temporary system issues that can affect app loading.
Step 5: Update the app Check if a newer version is available in the Play Store or App Store. App updates sometimes fix compatibility issues causing loading failures.
Problem 2: Cannot Log In to Binance App
Login fails with an error message or infinite loading.
"Invalid email or password"
- Double-check your email address and password for typos
- If you forgot your password, use the Forgot Password link on the login screen
- Check if Caps Lock is enabled (some Android keyboards default to caps)
"Incorrect 2FA code"
- Wait 30 seconds and try the next code generated by your authenticator app — codes expire every 30 seconds
- Check your phone's clock is accurate: incorrect device time causes TOTP codes to fail. Go to Settings > Date and Time and enable Automatic Date and Time
- If you lost access to your authenticator, use the 2FA recovery process (see our dedicated guide)
"Your IP has been restricted"
This can happen if Binance's fraud detection flags your IP. Try:
- Switching networks (mobile data vs. Wi-Fi)
- Connecting through a different location or using a VPN
- If the issue persists, contact Binance support as your account may have a manual restriction
Account locked due to multiple failed attempts
Binance temporarily locks accounts after multiple incorrect login attempts. Wait 30 minutes and try again. If the lock persists, use the account recovery flow or contact support.
Problem 3: App Crashes on Launch or During Use
The app opens briefly then crashes, or crashes when performing specific actions.
Solutions
Clear cache (Android): Settings > Apps > Binance > Storage > Clear Cache
Reinstall the app:
- Uninstall Binance completely
- Restart your device
- Download a fresh copy from the Play Store, App Store, or the official Binance APK page
- Install and log in
Check storage space: If your device is nearly out of storage, apps behave erratically. Free up at least 500 MB and try again.
Check Android version compatibility: Binance requires Android 5.0 or later. Very old devices or heavily customized Android versions may have compatibility issues.
Problem 4: Charts Not Loading or Displaying Incorrectly
The trading chart shows a blank space, partial data, or fails to update.
Solutions
Switch chart types: Tap the chart options and switch between TradingView and the basic Binance chart. Sometimes one type loads when the other does not.
Check the time frame: The chart may be set to a very long time frame (like 1W or 1M) where data takes longer to load. Switch to a shorter time frame (15m or 1h) to see if it loads faster.
Clear app cache: Cached chart data can become corrupted. Clear the cache as described above.
Use the web platform: If charts consistently fail in the app, access the same trading pair on Binance's website in your browser as a temporary workaround.
Problem 5: Deposits Not Showing Up
You sent crypto to your Binance address but it has not appeared in your wallet.
What to Do
- Check the transaction on a blockchain explorer: Use the transaction hash (TXID) from your sending wallet to look up the status on a block explorer. If the transaction shows "unconfirmed," it is still being processed by the network.
- Check the required confirmation count: Binance requires a certain number of network confirmations before crediting deposits. For Bitcoin, this is typically 1 confirmation. For other coins, check Binance's deposit FAQ.
- Verify the network: Ensure you sent on the correct network. Sending ERC-20 USDT to a TRC-20 address, for example, requires manual recovery and a fee.
- Check your deposit history: In Wallet > Deposit History, search for the incoming transaction. Sometimes it shows as "Pending" before appearing in your main balance.
If the transaction has been confirmed on the blockchain for more than an hour and still is not credited, contact Binance support with your TXID.
Problem 6: Withdrawal Pending or Failed
A withdrawal has been pending for an unusually long time or shows as failed.
Pending Withdrawals
Some withdrawals require additional security review. This is normal and can take:
- A few minutes to 1 hour for standard withdrawals
- Up to 24 hours if your account triggered a security review
- Email confirmation — check if Binance sent a withdrawal confirmation email you need to click
Failed Withdrawals
Common reasons for failed withdrawals:
- Insufficient funds to cover the withdrawal amount plus network fee
- Withdrawal amount is below the minimum required
- The destination address is on a network blacklist
- Your withdrawal whitelist is active and the address is not on it
Check the specific error message in your withdrawal history for clues.
Problem 7: Notifications Not Working
You are not receiving price alerts or security notifications.
Solutions
Enable notifications in device settings:
- Android: Settings > Apps > Binance > Notifications > Allow Notifications
- iOS: Settings > Notifications > Binance > Allow Notifications
Check Binance notification settings: In the app, go to Profile > Notification Settings and ensure the relevant notification types are toggled on.
Check battery optimization (Android): Some Android phones aggressively limit background app activity. Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization and set Binance to "Not Optimized" or "Unrestricted."
General Troubleshooting Checklist

- Clear the app cache
- Restart your device
- Update the Binance app
- Reinstall the Binance app
- Check if the problem occurs on the Binance website (to isolate app vs. account issues)
- Contact Binance support with a detailed description if none of the above works
