How to Log into Binance: Web and App Guide

Logging into Binance seems simple, but there are nuances — especially once you have enabled 2FA and security features. Whether you are accessing Binance from a desktop browser or the mobile app, this guide covers the complete login process, how to handle 2FA prompts, and what to do when something goes wrong.

Logging Into Binance on Desktop (Browser)

Step 1: Navigate to the Official Binance Website

Open your browser and type the Binance URL directly into the address bar. Do not use search engine results to navigate to Binance — type the address directly to avoid clicking on phishing sites that appear in paid search results.

Verify the security certificate in your browser's address bar (the padlock icon) before entering any credentials.

Step 2: Click "Log In"

On the Binance homepage, click the "Log In" button in the upper right corner.

Step 3: Enter Your Credentials

On the login page, enter:

  • Your registered email address or phone number
  • Your Binance password

Click "Log In."

Step 4: Complete the Security Verification

Binance uses a puzzle-based security check (CAPTCHA) that asks you to drag a slider or complete a visual puzzle. Complete this to proceed.

Step 5: Enter Your 2FA Code

If you have 2FA enabled (which is strongly recommended), you will be prompted to enter your verification code:

  • Google Authenticator or Binance Authenticator: Open the app on your phone, find the Binance entry, and enter the current 6-digit code
  • SMS authentication: Wait for the text message and enter the 6-digit code
  • Passkey: Follow your device's biometric prompt (fingerprint or Face ID)

Enter the code and click "Submit."

Step 6: You Are Logged In

After successful verification, you will be taken to your Binance dashboard (Overview page). You are now logged in.

Logging Into the Binance Mobile App

Step 1: Open the Binance App

Tap the Binance app icon on your phone's home screen or app drawer. If you do not have the app yet, download it from the official source.

Step 2: Tap "Log In"

On the app's welcome screen, tap "Log In."

Step 3: Enter Your Email or Phone Number and Password

Enter your registered email address or phone number, then enter your password. Tap "Log In."

Step 4: Complete the Security Check

If prompted, complete any CAPTCHA or security verification that appears.

Step 5: Enter Your 2FA Code

Just like the desktop, the app will prompt for your 2FA code. Enter the code from your authenticator app or the SMS code sent to your phone.

Alternatively, if you have set up biometric login (fingerprint or Face ID) within the Binance app settings, you can authenticate with your biometrics instead of entering a code manually.

Step 6: Enable Biometric Login (Optional)

If this is your first login on the app, Binance may offer to enable fingerprint or Face ID for future logins. Enabling this makes subsequent logins faster while maintaining security.

Login With Different Credential Types

Logging In with Email

Enter your full email address exactly as registered. Email addresses are not case-sensitive, but if you accidentally include spaces, the login will fail.

Logging In with Phone Number

Select your country code from the dropdown menu first, then enter your phone number. For example, if you registered with a US number, select "+1" and then enter the 10-digit number.

Logging In via Google or Apple (Social Login)

If you registered using "Continue with Google" or "Continue with Apple," use the same social login option on the login screen. Do not try to log in with a password — your account may not have one set separately.

Understanding Your Binance Session

After logging in, your session remains active for a certain period. Binance sessions typically:

  • Stay active for 30 days on trusted devices if you enable "Remember this device"
  • Expire after a period of inactivity on shared or public devices
  • Can be forcibly ended from any device via Security > Device Management

On shared or public computers, never check "Remember this device" and always log out manually when you are done.

How to Log Out of Binance

Desktop

Click your profile icon in the upper right, then select "Log Out" at the bottom of the dropdown menu.

Mobile App

Tap the profile icon at the bottom right, scroll to the bottom of the menu, and tap "Log Out."

Logging Out All Sessions Remotely

If you left a device logged in elsewhere, go to Security > Device Management and remove the session from the list.

Logging In After Forgetting Your Password

If you cannot remember your password:

  1. On the login page, click "Forgot Password?"
  2. Enter your registered email address or phone number
  3. Binance will send a password reset link or code
  4. Follow the instructions to create a new password
  5. You may be required to complete additional identity verification

After resetting your password, all existing login sessions are terminated for security. Log in fresh with your new password.

Logging In After Losing 2FA Access

If you cannot access your 2FA codes (lost phone, deleted authenticator):

  1. On the 2FA prompt page, look for "Having trouble? Use a different 2FA method" or similar option
  2. If you have backup 2FA methods (SMS, email), use those
  3. If you have no backup methods, use Binance's account recovery process (via support)
  4. The recovery process requires identity verification and typically takes several business days

This is why saving your 2FA backup key and having multiple 2FA methods configured is so important.

Security Tips for Login

  • Never log in from public computers: Internet cafe, library, or hotel computers may have keyloggers
  • Do not use public WiFi for logging in: Use a trusted private network or your mobile data
  • Check the URL every time: The address should be the official Binance domain
  • Never enter credentials after clicking an email link: Navigate to Binance directly instead
  • Enable login notifications: Get alerted to any new device login immediately

New Device Login

When you log in from a new device or location, Binance may require additional verification:

  • An email verification code sent to your registered email
  • An SMS code to your phone
  • Additional 2FA confirmation

This is normal behavior and protects you from unauthorized access from unfamiliar locations.
